Snoring doesn't always mean sleep apnoea, and it's true that everyone snores from time to time. But if your snoring is loud, frequent, and you gasp, choke, and are tired during the day, it's worth asking your doctor about doing a sleep study. Untreated sleep apnoea can increase your risk of cardiovascular problems, stroke, diabetes and more, so a chat with your GP is a great place to start.
